Enlace-43. Johan Grimonprez
The argument targets the global boom of fear-as-a-commodity in a tale of odd couples and hilarious double deals. As television hijacks film and relations between the USSR and the USA intensify, the sexual revolution begins to take off and Hitchcock himself appears in a dandy new role in front of the cameras, blackmailing housewives with brands that they cannot refuse.
Johan Grimonprez (Roeselare, 1962) is a professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His first film, Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y (1997) garnered awards for Best Director at the San Francisco and Toronto film festivals.
