The Museo Reina Sofía Library is aligned towards specialised research in contemporary art, with its main goal to facilitate access to researchers, students, the Museo’s technical staff and anyone with an interest in its collections and holdings.
The bibliographic and documentary materials assembled by the Library span numerous manifestations around contemporary artistic practices and related fields, and its collections have been growing progressively and today include roughly 155,000 monographs, 2,500 periodical publication titles, 3,800 audiovisual records and 10,500 archival documents.
With the aim of facilitating the dissemination of and access to a vast bibliographic catalogue, different collections have been configured to underscore and consolidate bibliographic groups and documents: archives and holdings, comics and fanzines, ephemera, photobooks, artists’ books, audiovisual material, periodicals and a repository. These digitised materials can be consulted online from the catalogue mentioned above or in LaDigitaldelReina.
If you require more information, please refer to the Library’s terms of access and use, Library Guide, and available services. Library staff in the Reading Room are also available to deal with any questions.
