The Museo Reina Sofía Library’s collection of audiovisual material is made up of over 3,800 records, including visual recordings (with or without a soundtrack) and sound recordings. The materials are in analogue and digital formats and are preserved in different supports: video tapes, DVDs, CDs, and vinyl.
Visual recordings comprise material from the Museo’s in-house productions, video art, documentaries and films from the Cinemateca de Cuba collection.
Of note among the sound recordings are the records accompanying Henri Chopin’s Revue OU (1964–1974) and the vinyl collection with album covers designed by Spanish artists such as Herminio Molero, Guillermo Pérez Villalta and Iván Zulueta.

The Library offers users a service to consult audiovisual materials via computers with DVD and CD players. However, it does not have a record player available.
The vinyl records are part of the Museo Reina Sofía Library’s special collections, which is why they must be viewed at the table reserved for such purposes on Floor -1. Their use and reproduction is limited.
From the Museo’s networks, some of these materials can be consulted online via LaDigitaldelReina. Consultations from external networks may be restricted due to intellectual property rights.
If you require more information, please refer to the Library’s terms of access and use, Library Guide, and available services. Library staff in the Reading Room are also available to deal with any questions.
