“In the troubled air…”

French philosopher Georges Didi-Huberman, curator of the exhibition and editorial project “In the Troubled Air…”, traces a political anthology of emotion understood in a poetic tone and as an aesthetic category: a movement, a commotion transmitted to collectiveness via a unique body, one with the capacity to become an action of the masses and to channel forms of critical expression and resistance which broaden our perception of the world.

In the only essay in the publication, and accompanied by a comprehensive collection of documentary and philosophical sources which converse with an array of graphic, musical, literary, photographic and audiovisual productions, Didi-Huberman explores the potentially transformative dimension of emotion and its capacity to disrupt and search for otherness.
